Do we fix our problems?
Did you know the fuel pressure on your furnace needs to be adjusted depending on your altitude? The fuel pressures come preset at sea level, and must be manually set to accommodate Utah’s higher elevation (around 4500 feet). 5 years ago a furnace was installed in someone’s home and the technician forgot to manually adjust the pressure. We came back and fixed it for free because our bottom line is customer happiness.
Difference between us and other contractors:
When we do a job, we do it right. Installing a furnace might seem technically easy, but if someone doesn’t put the proper effort in, it does take a toll. For example, one commercial building I visited had a residential furnace. Rather than using sheet metal to bridge a 2 inch gap in the fixture, somebody had used duct tape to cover it. That is problematic because air flow can be impacted, and leakage can occur. We don’t let these things happen. We spend extra time on training our technicians and we even send somebody in to inspect the furnace afterwards. We truly care about doing things right.
How to care for your humidifier:
People don’t often associate humidifiers and furnaces, but there is actually a pretty important relationship there. There is a pad in your humidifier than in Utah’s climate needs to be changed yearly. The hard water causes mineral buildups in the humidifier, which can sometimes cause the water to leak out of the humidifier and seep into the furnace. Once inside the furnace H20 can do some pretty serious damage, such as ruining the computer board, which would leave you in need of some hefty repairs. Thankfully replacing a humidifier pad is super simple, and we are ready and able to do that yearly, or as needed, for your family or business.
The value of quality work:
If you’ve invested money into a heating or cooling system, you want it to work. For example, if ducts that have been in your home for years have some leaks because they weren’t sealed properly, that means that, to an extent, they are being wasted. If ducts have leaks essentially the air is not getting where it needs to be. We at Genuine Comfort Heating and Air produce quality work so that your investment truly pays off. You want your machinery performing at peak efficiency, and that’s why quality work matters.
How can a heat pump help my business?
Get smarter with how you heat your business by using a heat pump. A heat pump is a high energy unit that functions as both an air conditioning and a heater that eliminates the need for gas altogether. The best part? It runs so efficiently you won’t even see a difference in your electric bill. Essentially a heat pump has an inverter, which switches the system up from heating to cooling as the seasons change. The nature of the heat pump allows for highly customizable heating as it automatically will adjust temperature depending on certain very specific factors, such as heat from a lot of people in a room or heat coming from a window. Say you have an inverter heat pump in a conference room. First of all, the inverter is hidden in the ceiling, so it won’t be this large, un- aesthetically pleasing unit. Another advantage is that it will run so quietly that the sound won’t disrupt or increase the noise in a room where people are trying to communicate. Finally, the speed of the inverter runs from low to high. This means that if the room gets crowded, the system will work a little harder to keep the room cooler and comfortable for everyone. Heat pump systems can run through separate rooms because they are connected by copper wires. However, each room still has its own thermostat which allows occupants to customize their heating setting. It’s a smart, efficient system.
