Wayne was beyond helpful in fixing a gas leak in our home. We called several companies and most said they couldn’t work on the type of valve we had, but Wayne was able to work us in around his schedule to take care of the leak quickly and get heat back in our home. He went above and beyond to come back before Christmas in order to repair our system and get everything working again. He was communicative, punctual, and professional. Trane covers the parts with a 10 year warranty. Their tune up costs and annual maintenance plans are affordable. They are the only company in northern Utah that can correctly maintain and install Trane equipment. They are very personable and remember you. They take the time to explain what they are doing and what is going on with your system. They don’t pressure you into a decision but give you options. For example: During the annual service this year, John W. saved me from needing a whole new furnace by finding a small crack that was leaking condensation, which could have resulted in significant problems. He takes pride in his work, treats my furnace as if it was his own, and clearly communicates what is going on. I have consistently experienced the same level of service from all their team members, and I choose to continue their annual service year after year. We needed an entire new Heating & AC system as ours was 16 years-old and I did A LOT of research and calling around for estimates & advice. Tony answered dozens of questions that I had and never tried to upsell me. He replied quickly to multiple texts and phone calls and followed up with me often without being pressuring. He gave me an incredible deal for a great system (and believe me, I did my research!) and I couldn't be more pleased. The team that came out to install (Mark, Konnor & Ryan) were professional, curteous and quick. They laid down liners to protect my carpet and kept me in the loop of what they were doing and how long it would take. They were friendly and great at thier work...what more could I ask for?! Read on if you want more details. It started off with Tony. He seemed to understand what I wanted. He listened and gave smart and honest suggestions. He was in contact throughout the entire process and was very helpful. I never felt rushed. Mark and Mac did the install. We were changing locations of the furnace and adding an A/C unit. They worked hard and got it done with as little mess as possible. They kept us in the loop throughout the entire process. I would not have any issues with them coming back to do more work in the future. Very easy to work with. Brian was sent over to fix the gas line. Since the furnace had been moved the gas line needed to be adjusted. He came in and ended up spending more time on it than he expected. He ended up running it a bit different to make it work perfect rather than just scab it together. It turned out perfect. He was very nice and easy to work with. They worked tirelessly to remove the old and install the new. It was like a retrofit. Tight quarters to get in and work on it and put in new and modify the ductwork. We just love it. We also had them extend the line to our deck so we could connect our grill. Brian Dragon did the estimate and the installation (and gave us the idea to extend to the deck) and we were extremely pleased. He was very knowledgeable and professional and just a really good guy. When Brian arrived for the initial inspection, I shared that I wanted to retain the aesthetic of our home and asked if we could find an option that would avoid running a gas line across the front of the house. He was happy to look at the options with me and explain the pros and cons of each. We finally settled on a great solution that I would have never considered that was sure to keep the line neatly hidden. Brian was back today for the install with another member of the Genuine Comfort team. These guys were EARLY, got the job done quickly, and were smiling and friendly the entire time. Not to mention that the visible work that they left behind is an example of true craftsmanship. The finished product is better than I had imagined without any need for plaster or drywall repair. I was referred by an electrician friend who was unable to figure out the intermittent AC problem we have had for three years. Unreliable AC in the dog days of summer is kind of a drag. Genuine Comfort sent a repair technologist at the precise time they said they would and he quickly diagnosed two problems with our AC unit that is less than five years old. He showed me exactly how minor errors in the installation process resulted in the problems we were experiencing. He charged very little based on his timely and expert service. I called about a quote for a new AC system on a Saturday. Wayne managed to squeeze us in and come that day to check out our system. He asked good questions about or specific situation. His quote was higher than the other quotes we got, but we felt it was for a better system than the others, so we decided to go with him. There were some hiccups in the exact time of our install, but they were very good about contacting us and communicating what was going on and what the new time expectations were. Even with the hiccups we had a new functioning AC on Tuesday afternoon. The techs were polite and worked diligently. One tech did arrive smelling strongly of cigarette smoke, but he was barely ever in the house.Posted on Google

They taught me about the setup of the gas line in my 100-year-old house and answered any questions I had with a great deal of knowledge and experience. I even learned a couple new things about my house that I didn't know before. And most importantly, they made sure things were up to code (including updating previous work that was done by someone else before we bought the house). I can't say enough about the thought process and consideration that Wayne had for us as clients! He knows the business and doesn't take advantage of the situation. I can't say that many HVAC companies have their clients best interest! We did end up adding a mini split system after all the other efforts to try to alleviate the heat even though we have central air already. Ryan Greaux19 April 2019Im writing this review on behalf of my friend who was attempting to get approved for a $7000 loan due to not one but two different companies who quoted him the same amount to repair a gas leak and broken down furnace. Not a lot of people can easily come up with $7000 up front or even get a loan for a very necessary repair such as this. My friend was not approved for the loan and was stuck in his cold house leaking carbon monoxide. He decided what other option but to get a third opinion and called Genuine. They informed my friend the $7000 was not needed. Long story short the repair through Genuine cost my friend only about $300. No more gas leak and furnace still works. Genuine saved my friend thousands of dollars and after he informed me of the giant weight lifted off his shoulders I wrote down Genuines company name and saved it for future reference for myself and others. Every interaction we've had with them has been very positive. None of their workers have minded my toddlers following them around and watching the work. Marti Clay14 March 2019Wow! Awesome company! Our ancient furnace finally bit the dust. One of their service technicians, Tyler came to look at it. He explained the problem to me and all of our options. He gave me written bids for all of the options from replacing a key component, to replacing the entire furnace. He was not pushy at all, just gave us the facts. My husband and I took an evening to discuss it, and in the end decided to replace the furnace. Colby & Gerald arrived as scheduled and on time. They worked so hard. They didn't even stop to eat lunch! They were at my house from 8:30am to 6:30pm! Our furnace is in a tiny closet in the basement, not easy to access. They had to be a little creative, but Colby made it work. He explained everything to me before any changes were made. They cleaned up after themselves and kept me updated. They were friendly and patient while we were trying to make some last minute decisions. I was very happy with the whole install process. These are honest hardworking people, with many years of experience. My new furnace is on and my home feels comfortable and warm. Thank you Genuine Comfort and Colby, Gerald, Wayne, and Tyler for replacing our furnace! We are so grateful! It was especially difficult as the people who installed it did a terrible job and actually ended up being the cause of our problems. However since it took 10 years for the problems to present themselves, we're out of luck with going back to the installers. Genuine comfort was great about explaining exactly what was wrong and why and showed us exactly how the problems were created. We appreciate their honesty very much. We wanted to switch out our electric cooktop with a gas one and the only place in our house without a gas line connection was in our kitchen, of course. Wayne came out quickly to give us a quote, he was friendly and professional and arrived during the time window he committed to. We also got three other quotes for the exact same work. Genuine Comfort's quote was substantially more affordable than the others so we hired them to run a new line for our new gas cooktop and also had them make some modifications to the gas line in our equipment room so it wasn't running across the front of our furnace (gotta love old homes). The installers arrived on time and were incredibly friendly and professional (even when dealing with project challenges) and despite the project taking a bit longer than expected the price paid was the price quoted. Genuine Comfort did an incredible job end-to-end and we couldn't be more pleased with what we paid and the quality of their work. We would recommend this company without hesitation!Posted on Google
T Goodwin6 June 2018These guys are AMAZING! Our air conditioner went out on us on the hottest day of the year so far and our home temp rose to the mid 90's. We initially had another company (Superior Air) come out to fix the AC and they told us it was going to cost us $2,000 to fix a 3-year old AC unit. After doing some price checking and finding Genuine Comfort Heating and air, their quote came in at HALF the cost of Superiors! That's right, HALF. Then, after deciding to obviously go with Genuine Comfort Heating and air, Superior charged us a whopping $300 just to have done the initial diagnostic visit. Superior also didn't have any interest in helping us figure out whether or not such a new air conditioner was still under any kind of warranty. On top of having much lower prices Wayne and Emily took as much time as needed to answer all of my questions and even brought us a portable unit to use in the crazy heat for the next couple days until our appt to get it fixed. They also looked and found that our unit was in fact still under warranty for the part which shaved off an additional $200! I just don't understand how there could be a $1,200 discrepancy between two companies for the exact same service, but I really appreciate Genuine Comfort taking the time to help us and not try to take advantage of us during such a stressful/vulnerable situation. They really treated us with respect and care and I can't say how much appreciate their above and beyond service! Thank you!Posted on Google

Roger Hurst15 September 2016The guy was very thorough, more so than anyone who has ever prepped that furnace for winter. The only negative, possibly a miscommunication on my part, I thought he would be prepared to move the gas feeder pipe to make room for some drywall muddling stalled due to the poor placement of the current pipe. He told me he was not prepared to move the pipe but he would make certain someone would be scheduled to do that. I mentioned that would be important because I would be going out of town for a couple of days, and it would be nice to have someone poised to do it when I returned. Today I find that there are no available appointments until Monday. So, this has become a minor annoyance because I wanted to get the drywall guy back to finish up. Second paragraph much too wordy, I know, but I thought it good to focus on the importance of communication when dealing with grumpy old men. The compliments conveyed in the first paragraph are heart-felt, and I appreciate the technicians good work.Posted on Google

He listened to our concerns and answered all of our questions. When it came time for the install, they were very timely and professional. They charged us exactly what they had estimated it would cost and not a penny more. We also really liked that they offered a two year warranty on the labor, every other company we contacted only offered a one year warranty on the labor.
